Meet Randy King

Randy King

Randy King began doing mime in 1978 at the age of 22 in Florence, Alabama. He traveled through the southeastern United States as a solo act or, sometimes, with a group ministering on the streets, in churches, coffee houses and at Christian concerts and festivals. He was privileged to open for such notables as DeGarmo and Key, Lenny LeBlanc, Will McFarlane, David and the Giants and others.

In 1983, Randy and his family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he continued to minister in mime, traveling into Michigan, Texas and Utah as well as continuing to do concerts with other known Christian artists such as Phil Driscoll and Clay Crosse.

In 1991, Randy traveled to France to teach mime in a local Christian school in Le Puy. The next year, he was a featured entertainer at the 1992 World’s Fair in Seville, spain and returned to France to minister at a church in Bordeaux.

In 1993, Randy made his first trip to Ivanovo, Russia. He continued to travel to Ivanovo yearly in the summers for short term missions trips until 2000 when he moved with his two youngest children to live and minister full time at Ivanovo Christian Center (ICC), a Full Gospel charismatic church with which he’d been working each year.
His children moved back to the States in 2001 to finish their education and Randy continued to live and minister in Ivanovo.

He teamed up with Sergei Sorokin in 2001, first traveling together with Sergei as his interpreter, and later working together as a duo in different parts of Russia and into Finland. Randy became youth pastor of ICC in 2004 and Sergei is assistant youth pastor.

They have a dynamic youth group of 50+ and, for 6 years, have done large evangelical outreaches in the largest state theater in Ivanovo using the youth drama and dance teams. These outreaches are always a great success and have garnered much fruit for the kingdom. They have progressed to the point that they are now seen as an annual even by the citizens of Ivanovo, and especially the large university and college student population.

The father of 4 children (3 daughters and a son) and grandfather of 4, Randy shows no signs of slowing down and his vision of expanding the ministry into Europe, Asia and Africa is gaining in urgency and becoming reality. In 1991, Randy traveled to France to teach mime in a local Christian school in Le Puy. The next year, he was a featured entertainer at the 1992 World’s Fair in Seville, spain and returned to France to minister at a church in Bordeaux.
